Yier Technology's AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine successfully completed the construction of the 4.5-meter diameter and 141.5-meter deep spillway shaft at the Genao River Hydropower Station in Yiliang, Yunnan, with high quality and efficiency.

Recently, Yier Technology's AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine successfully completed the construction of the 4.5-meter diameter, 141.5-meter deep spillway shaft at the Yiliang Genao River Hydropower Station in Yunnan, with high quality and efficiency. As a key water conservancy project in Yunnan Province, the construction of the spillway shaft is of great significance for ensuring the safe operation of the hydropower station and for flood prevention and disaster reduction in the surrounding areas. In this project, the AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine played a key role with its unique technical characteristics and excellent performance.

 

This construction marks the first time that the Yier Technology's AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine has been used for a 4.5m diameter shaft. The AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine features a modular design, compact structure, and convenient operation, allowing it to flexibly adapt to various complex construction environments. Its powerful rock-breaking capability and efficient drilling speed ensured the smooth completion of the spillway shaft. However, some challenges were encountered during the construction process. Due to complex geological conditions, severe fracture zones, and hard rock (C15 concrete and weathered rock), the progress was slow, posing significant difficulties for the construction. In the face of these challenges, Yier Technology's after-sales personnel and project team members actively responded, taking appropriate pressure relief measures to ensure construction safety, conducting real-time monitoring on-site, and adjusting the construction plan, ultimately successfully overcoming these challenges.

The working parameters of the AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine, including thrust pressure, torque, reaming pull, and rotation speed, are designed reasonably with ample parameters, capable of handling greater depths and larger diameters. In the 4.5-meter spillway shaft project at the Yiliang Genao River Hydropower Station, the average reaming construction efficiency was 4-6 meters per shift, with high quality and low deviation rate of the completed shaft, meeting project expectations. Through this practical application, Yier Technology not only gained high recognition from the owner, but the AT-4000L Raise Borer Machine also shone in the Yiliang Genao River Hydropower Station project with its precise drilling control technology, strong drilling efficiency, and good adaptability, effectively shortening the construction period, reducing costs, while ensuring project quality and safety.
