The underground cutting shaft project of Xinzhou Mining has been successfully completed. Relying on the outstanding product performance of the ATM-600T compact Raise borer Machine and its professional, efficient on-site technical services, Yier Technology has smoothly accomplished the task of excavating a 600 mm-diameter, 30 m-deep cutting shaft in the mining area, earning both a banner and a letter of appreciation from the client.

Recently, the underground cutting shaft project of Xinzhou Mining was successfully completed. Relying on the outstanding product performance of the ATM-600T compact Raise borer Machine and its professional, efficient on-site technical services, Yier Technology flawlessly executed the task of excavating a 600 mm-diameter, 30 m-deep cutting shaft in the mining area, earning both a banner of commendation and a letter of gratitude from the client.

The well‑cutting project undertaken this time is located in a high‑altitude operating area, with an elevation range spanning 2,520 m to 4,500 m. The mountain roads feature steep slopes and sharp bends, with complex and adverse road conditions. Moreover, the underground tunnel space is severely constrained, posing significant challenges to equipment mobilization and transportation as well as to on‑site construction operations.

The project employs the ATM-600T compact Raise borer Machine, independently developed by Yier Technology. This lightweight raise borer is specially designed for narrow roadways and low-ceiling chambers, with a total weight of only 11 tons and an ultra-narrow transport width of 1.27 meters. It can be loaded into cage shafts and transferred via inclined ramps without the need to disassemble the equipment or modify the roadway, ensuring flexible and convenient underground relocation.

The equipment supports both upward blind‑shaft and reverse‑shaft construction, offering dual‑mode operation. In blind‑shaft mode, it can handle boreholes up to Φ600 mm with a maximum depth of 60 m; in reverse‑shaft mode, it accommodates diameters of up to Φ1.2 m and depths of up to 120 m. Borehole deviation is maintained within 0.5%, and construction rates reach 30–45 minutes per meter, meeting the requirements of various underground shafts, including cut‑and‑fill shafts, decline shafts, and ventilation shafts.

Project delivery is not the end of service, but rather the starting point for ensuring smooth construction. Yier Technology adheres to the service philosophy of “equipment delivery + full‑process support,” dispatching senior after-sales engineers Chen Miao and Fu Jie to the project site to provide continuous on‑site oversight.

Faced with the physical challenges of the plateau environment and complex on-site conditions, the resident engineers rose to the occasion, completing equipment mobilization and commissioning, arranging underground caverns, and devising a tailored transport plan tailored to the mine’s specific road conditions, thereby successfully overcoming the logistical hurdles of bringing the equipment up the mountain.

During the construction phase, we maintained rigorous equipment inspections and preventive maintenance, collected operational data, and provided hands-on training to mine personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. We promptly addressed all technical issues on site, ensuring the project progressed safely and smoothly throughout its duration. This support enabled the precise and successful completion of the 30-meter‑deep cut‑and‑fill shaft, with well‑construction quality, construction efficiency, and safety performance all meeting project expectations, thereby laying a solid foundation for subsequent block‑extraction operations at the mine.
