The new AT-2000LD Raise borer Machine from Erkeji has successfully facilitated the smooth breakthrough of a 62-meter-deep, 30°-inclined, 2-meter-diameter inclined shaft at this mine, demonstrating its efficient, stable, and intelligent construction performance and once again proving the robust strength of domestically produced mining equipment.
Recently, good news came from the construction site of Guangxi Xinfafa Mining: Yier Technology’s brand-new AT-2000LD Raise borer Machine successfully facilitated the smooth breakthrough of a 62-meter-deep, 30°-inclined, 2-meter-diameter inclined shaft project at the mine, once again demonstrating the robust strength of domestically produced mining equipment with its efficient, stable, and intelligent performance.
The AT-2000LD Raise borer Machine used in this construction is a crawler-mounted self-propelled model, with overall transportation dimensions of only 4.8 × 1.4 × 2 meters. It can drive itself directly from outside the mine shaft to the designated chamber, greatly improving the efficiency of underground relocation. The equipment is equipped with a dedicated auxiliary rod-handling device that enables automatic gripping and connecting/disconnecting of drill rods, effectively reducing manual labor intensity and enhancing operational safety and continuity.

On the day the equipment arrived on site, our after-sales technician, Wu Yanbiao, oversaw the unloading of the equipment and conducted operational training for the on-site personnel. At the same time, Wu Yanbiao worked in tandem with the project team’s technical staff to survey the underground travel route and the conditions of the working chamber, conducting a comprehensive inspection of obstacles along the route and the spatial dimensions of the chamber, thereby laying the groundwork for the smooth entry and operation of the equipment.
In addition, since the inclined shaft construction this time needs to pass through a long-abandoned tunnel, which is filled with large amounts of silt and debris, has a soft foundation, and contains obstacles such as old tracks, the construction progress and safety are severely affected. To address this, the project team coordinated with the technical team from Yier Technology to carry out the cleaning of the abandoned tunnel in parallel, organizing personnel to remove silt and debris from the tunnel, harden the perforated foundation, and dismantle the abandoned old tracks, thereby completely clearing the construction obstacles and creating a safe and unobstructed working environment for subsequent drilling operations.
In response to the special inclination requirement for the construction of this 30° inclined shaft, Yier Technology’s technical team conducted targeted technical optimization and scheme adjustments based on the actual engineering conditions. To ensure that the drill pipe forms a precise 30° angle with the ground and to guarantee the accuracy of the drilling trajectory, the team specially designed a 60° inclined support frame, firmly welding the shoe plate to the frame to enhance its stability and load-bearing capacity. This effectively prevents issues such as frame displacement and deformation during drilling, thereby laying a solid foundation for efficient and precise drilling.

After the equipment was erected, staff from the Technical Department of Yier Technology worked in close coordination with the project team’s technical personnel to use professional measuring instruments to precisely recheck the drilling rig’s inclination and azimuth, making repeated adjustments and calibrations to ensure that all parameters met the construction requirements. Subsequently, a series of preliminary preparatory works, such as power connection and trial run, drill bit replacement, and pipeline connection, were successfully completed, followed by a comprehensive inspection of the equipment’s operating status to ensure that it was put into operation in optimal condition.
During drilling, faced with complex geological conditions such as fractured rock formations and frequent stuck pipe incidents, the team dynamically adjusted the construction parameters by reducing the rotation speed and advance pressure, and adopted manual advancement mode for precise reaming, achieving 4 meters of reaming in a single shift. While ensuring safety and quality, they steadily improved efficiency, with a conventional reaming rate of 1 meter per hour. Technical personnel used total stations throughout the process to conduct real-time monitoring; the inclination angle of the initial hole was 30.2°, and the inclination angles of the upper and lower sections of the pilot hole were controlled within the range of 31.01° to 31.67°, ensuring trajectory control with millimeter-level precision. Notably, the AT-2000LD Raise borer Machine not only demonstrated high efficiency and stable performance during construction, but also delivered exceptionally outstanding borehole quality. After the raise borehole was completed, the disturbance and damage to the surrounding rock mass were minimal, effectively preserving the integrity of the surrounding rock. The finished borehole wall was smooth and well-formed, with no obvious irregularities, and the overall borehole quality fully met both the engineering design standards and safety regulations.
This advantage not only effectively avoids safety risks such as rockfalls, water seepage, and the accumulation of toxic gases caused by uneven shaft walls in traditional construction methods, thereby ensuring the personal safety of underground workers, but also significantly reduces the workload and costs associated with subsequent shaft wall maintenance and reinforcement. At the same time, it further alleviates the physical strain on operators, shortens the overall construction period, and achieves a triple improvement in construction safety, quality, and efficiency, earning high recognition and praise from the Xinfafa Mining Project Department in Guangxi. The successful breakthrough of the inclined shaft at the Xinfafa Mining Project in Guangxi represents another successful application of the Yier Technology AT-2000LD Raise borer Machine under complex dip angles and challenging geological conditions. In the future, Yier Technology will continue to provide stronger support for efficient mining excavation and safe operations through technological innovation and reliable equipment.
