It will provide a brand-new, unified set of guidelines for the design, manufacturing, inspection, and application of Raise borer Machines in China’s underground mines and underground engineering projects, thereby propelling the industry into a new stage of high-quality development.

Compared to the 2010 edition of the standard, "GB/T 12761-2025 Raise borer Machine" has achieved significant breakthroughs in multiple aspects. In terms of scope of application, new models such as remote-controlled drill rigs, crawler-mounted drill rigs, and tire-self-propelled drill rigs have been added, comprehensively covering the current mainstream equipment types in the industry.

In terms of safety requirements, the number of safety control clauses has been increased from 12 to 17, with new key requirements added, including fire extinguisher configuration, warning signs, and diesel engine exhaust emissions. Specifically, the regulations clearly stipulate that for diesel-engine-driven drilling rigs, the nitrogen oxide emission limit shall be ≤900×10⁻⁶ and the carbon monoxide emission limit shall be ≤1500×10⁻⁶, further strengthening the equipment’s safety and environmental protection attributes.

In terms of testing methods, nine new test items have been added, including average ground pressure of tracks, climbing ability, braking performance, and noise detection, providing a more comprehensive technical basis for equipment quality inspection.

It is understood that this standard was proposed by the China National Machinery Industry Federation, under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Mining Machinery. It was jointly drafted and completed by several research institutions and leading enterprises, including the Changsha Institute of Mining Research and XCMG Energy Equipment. The implementation of this standard will effectively regulate the market order for Raise borer Machines, address issues such as uneven product quality and inconsistent technical specifications within the industry, provide enterprises with clear technical benchmarks for production, and also serve as an authoritative basis for law enforcement by regulatory authorities.
